Official: Chelsea signs young talent Muoka to a professional contract
Chelsea has officially announced that they have signed 17-year-old talent Muoka to a professional contract.
Chelsea’s official statement:
Academy forward Muoka has signed his first professional contract with Chelsea after becoming a full-time scholar this summer. He signed the contract shortly after celebrating his 17th birthday on Sunday.
During the 2023-24 season, he regularly played for our U18 team, scoring 12 goals in 20 appearances, including featuring in the Premier League national final at Stamford Bridge.
This season, he has been promoted to our U21 team and scored his first goal at that level in a 6-0 victory over Fulham in early October. Tonight, he will travel with the first team to Greece for the Europa Conference League match against Panathinaikos.
During the U17 European Championship this summer, Muoka was a key player for England’s U17 squad, and this month, after his first call-up to England’s U19 team, he scored against both France U19 and the Netherlands U19.
