FIFA World Cup qualification: Bahrain 2-2 Indonesia
The Indonesian national team drew 2-2 with Bahrain in the third matchday of Group C in the 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers. The match between Bahrain and Indonesia took place at Bahrain National Stadium, Riffa, on Thursday (10/10/2024). Indonesia's goals were scored by Ragnar Oratmangoen (45+3') and Rafael Struick (74'), with Struick’s goal marking his first at the senior level. Meanwhile, Bahrain took the lead twice through free kicks by Mohamed Marhoon (15', 90+9').
The first threat to Indonesia came from Mohamed Marhoon's shot in the 53rd minute. Marhoon, attempting to penetrate from the left side, released a placed shot, but the ball went well wide of the goal. Unlike the first half, Indonesia's players appeared more comfortable and were able to develop their game in the second half. Indonesia started to show aggressive play from the wings. Shin Tae-yong's team sought to threaten with a free kick opportunity in the 70th minute. Calvin Verdonk, the executor, took a long-range shot, but Bahrain's goalkeeper, Ebrahim Lutfalla, managed to secure the ball.
