Keane: Erling Haaland performed poorly

Following Manchester City's 0-0 draw with Arsenal at home, Manchester United legend Keane launched a scathing criticism of Manchester City star Haaland. He believed that Haaland's performance throughout the game was mediocre and had little impact on the outcome. Keane even compared Haaland's performance to that of a League One player.

Haaland was hardly noticeable throughout the match, as the Norwegian star was tightly marked by Arsenal's center-backs Gabriel and Saliba, with the latter named as the man of the match. He barely had any touches in the first half, and when the ball reached the penalty area in the second half, he appeared unusually hesitant, missing a chance with his left-footed shot under David Raya's pressure. It was a disappointing game for Haaland.

Former Manchester United midfielder Keane was very dissatisfied with the star's performance today and delivered harsh criticism on him on Sky Sports. Keane said, "His overall performance was poor, not just today. His passing, heading, or any other performance was poor. In front of the goal, he's one of the best in the world, but for such a player, his overall performance is just too poor. He almost looks like a League One player, that's my thought watching him play. He needs to improve his overall performance. Perhaps his situation will improve in the coming years. (He's a) outstanding striker, but he has to prove his overall ability in the game."
