Schmeichel spoke about Thomas Tuchel and Erik ten Hag on a podcast
Schmeichel said: "For Tuchel's first two jobs at Chelsea and Bayern Munich, I think he arrived at both clubs at the wrong time."
"When he took charge at Chelsea, the club was in chaos due to the arrival of new owners. The same happened at Bayern, where there was a complete overhaul of the club’s leadership. I like Tuchel, I really do. From speaking with him at Champions League events, interviewing him, and listening to his technical discussions with his players, he seems like a great coach who would be a good fit for Manchester United."
"I don't think he got what he wanted at Chelsea, and I’m sure he hasn’t gotten what he wanted at Bayern either. He just has this aura of greatness, and I feel he would suit Manchester United."
Despite this, Schmeichel firmly supports Ten Hag continuing in his role, adding: "Ten Hag is still Manchester United’s manager, and I will back him because I want the club to improve. I don't want United to become a club that constantly changes managers. I hope they stick with Ten Hag because we need stability right now and he deserves a fair chance."
