Korean football legend Lee Tje-soo expressed on his personal social media that the performance of the KFA is very poor
Korean football legend Lee Tje-soo expressed on his personal social media that the performance of the Korea Football Association (KFA) is very poor, severely impacting the development of current South Korean players.
He pointed out: “The atmosphere within the national team is very bad right now, and I am concerned about the injury of our spiritual leader, Son Heung-min. Both the individual conditions of the players and the overall performance of the national team are not ideal. At this critical moment, we are facing the toughest opponents.” Lee Tje-soo also mentioned, “Factors like weather and atmosphere will pose challenges for us. The home atmosphere for Middle Eastern teams is very intense, the entry procedures may be lengthy, and the training venues could be deliberately arranged in unfavorable locations. There’s no doubt that playing away will put a physical burden on the players.”
As a former player, he expressed shame over the KFA's management, stating: “Our players are in their golden era, but the management of the football association seems incompetent, which is very disappointing. They appear to think there are no problems.”
Finally, Lee Tje-soo noted: “The South Korean national team’s failure to qualify for the Paris Olympics means they may also miss out on the World Cup. I never imagined a situation where we might not qualify for the World Cup, but that possibility does exist, and it’s very dangerous. If we cannot participate in the World Cup, the Korean football market will completely collapse.”
