Red Bull Salzburg has made an offer of €9.6 million for Bobby Clark
According to James Pearce, a Liverpool correspondent for The Athletic, Red Bull Salzburg has intensified their pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark and has made an offer of around €9.6 million.
The Austrian team, coached by former Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders, is determined to sign the 19-year-old English prospect on a permanent transfer. However, their latest offer is far below Liverpool's valuation of the player, and discussions between the clubs are ongoing. Salzburg still hopes that a compromise can be reached.
Clark missed the recent preseason tour in the U.S. due to a back injury but has returned to training at Kirkby. Liverpool had initially considered loaning Clark out, with Championship clubs Norwich, Leeds United, Sheffield United, and Coventry showing interest.
However, Salzburg's persistence has opened the door for a possible permanent transfer. Nonetheless, Liverpool insists that they will only agree to sell Clark if they receive an offer in the coming weeks that they believe reflects his potential and the market value of similar players.
